Dear Friends of Pembroke Music,
The high school band is growing very quickly. In 2005 - 2006 the band only had
17 members. In 2010 - 2011 we have 88 members and we will continue to
increase in size every year for years to come. When students begin on
instruments they have the choice of flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet,
trombone, baritone, and percussion. You will notice every instrument
listed below is not one of the instruments students start on. These
instruments listed below are much more expensive and are not instruments a
student just goes out to buy unless they get very serious about that particular
instrument after they have played it for a few years. These instruments
are needed to achieve a balanced band sound so that we can sound our best and
play the music with the instruments the composers write it for. If you
would like to donate a particular instrument or make a donation towards the
purchase of one of these instruments please contact me!
