General Music Hobomock



Ms. Besnoff is the general music teacher at Hobomock Elementary School and leads the Junior and Senior Choruses.  She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching General Music and her B.A. in Music with a concentration in piano from Bridgewater State University and will be attending Franklin Pierce University for a D.A. in Leadership starting August of 2011.  During her undergraduate studies, she toured Ireland and Puerto Rico with the Chamber Singers. She has been teaching piano lessons for nearly 10 years, and taught at Eastern Music in Taunton, Dick Johnsons Music Center in Brockton, Tokarski Music Center in North Haven, CT, and currently has a private studio of 22 children and adults.

Before teaching at Hobomock, she was the music teacher at Northbrook Academy in Raynham, a private middle school. For two years she was the Music Director at First Baptist Church in Abington, leading the choir every Sunday and on holidays. She currently performs with the Briarwood Ensemble (an a cappella choir, led by Dr. Steven Young) and sings with The Mike McHugh Band (an 8-piece jazz band).
